| HAVE YOUR SAY ON ECO FESTIVAL PROPOSAL AT WHITE’S CREEK |

Leichhardt Council is looking for feedback from the community regarding holding an ‘Eco Festival’ event at White’s Creek, Lilyfield in 2010.
At the April 2009 Ordinary meeting, Council adopted a resolution to investigate holding an environmental/sustainability focused festival at White’s Creek in 2010 as part of the events planning process for the 2009-2010 year.

The Council also resolved to seek feedback from local environment groups, local Environment/Sustainability businesses and interested community members as part
of the process.
Following consultation, a report will be brought back to the June 2009 meeting for discussion where Council will decide whether to go ahead or not.
Holding environmental sustainability events like this are invaluable in educating the general public on the simple day to day things that can be done to save water, reduce power consumption, reduce waste going into landfill boost local biodiversity and reduce your carbon footprint.
